Crostini

Crostini, also known as “little crust” is simply a slice of baguette that’s been painted with extra virgin olive oil, sprinkled with seasonings, and toasted until it’s golden brown. It then becomes a vessel for all kinds of yummy toppings.

Your delicious French baguette will take on a whole new culinary use when you turn them into crostini. You can slice your fresh baguettes in advance, put them into a Ziplock bag and freeze for use anytime. When you’re ready, simply defrost the crostini slices, paint the tops with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sprinkle just a bit of dried Herbs de Provence and a bit of sea salt then bake. Baking at high heat is key to keeping your crostini crisp. They are tasty on their own, but can be topped with all kinds of delicious combinations of meats, cheeses, or sweet and savory mixtures.

You’re gonna love it!
